In a central Florida neighborhood that had withered for decades, it once was hard to see a different future. Dilapidated homes had been razed; refuse and weeds covered neighborhood lots. In 2010, Rural Neighborhoods and its development partner Pinnacle Housing Group said, “We can change that.”

The Community: Winter Haven

Near the I-4 corridor between Tampa and Orlando, Winter Haven is a growing town of nearly 38,000 persons.
